I'm replacing the bearing with standard OS stuff. But it will have a new piston, pin, retainers, con rod and liner. This was the engine flown in my Freya for over two years. The bearing was not gone but it feels a little rough to me, so it's done well and I see no point in buying special bearings. This is an SZ-H and by the time this rebuild wears out it'll be time for a more modern version.

How did ya make out with the bearing removal?
300 to 350 for ten minutes should do fine to remove the bearing.
I switched from Barb's toater oven to a propane torch. The torch works faster and you're only heating the outside of the case where the bearing is seated. It may take a few light taps to get it to drop out with either method, sometimes it will just fall out.

After it warmed up it popped right out with a couple of solid taps. The rebuild went well and it is back in my Freya and I'm still trying to get the Freya to act like something other than what it is.

Yeah, I think the torch is the ticket as you can spot heat it quickly. I don't have a use for one so I probably won't go there unless I find myself doing a lot of rebuilds.
