Century, a company for coming up with some pretty innovative product combinations is set to release a new 50-size GASSER! That's right, a 50-size gasser running 620mm to 640mm blades will bring all the benefits of a gasser to a more convenient size. Availability should be right around the corner sometime this month. Two basic versions will be available, either in G10 Fiberglass, or as a carbon fiber kit.
Here's the Suggested Retail Pricing:
CN1330 RADIKAL-G20 LT G10 W/O ENGINE Retail: $499.95
CN1330A RADIKAL-G20 LT G10 W/ENGINE Retail: $799.95
CN1330B RADIKAL-G20 HD G10 W/O ENGINE Retail: $549.95
CN1330BE RADIKAL-G20 HD G10 W/ ENGINE Retail: $849.95
Also some carbon versions are on the way on the first batch as well.
Pricing on carbon versions:
CN1330C RADIKAL-G20 LT CF W/O ENGINE Retail: $599.95
CN1330D RADIKAL-G20 LT CF W/ENGINE Retail: $899.95
CN1330E RADIKAL-G20 HD CF W/ENGINE Retail: $949.95

I'll be interested to see how it performs....If it's good, I may just have my next heli.
I see they dropped the magneto ignition and went with electronic...that should help save a lot of weight.

I've done some research on Century's website on this. It states the weight as 4500 grams RTF without fuel. That's 9.9 pounds if my math is correct. Still awfully beefy for a 50 when you consider the T-Rex is just over 7 and the Vibe 50 is right around 8 pounds.
They are bragging up a pipe that'll produce 2.4 horse out of the 20cc motor, though. It'll be interesting to see how capale it is.
It also offers 2 different heads, a "modified 50 head" and a Predator style head.....I'm wondering the trade-offs of each.

LOL!
Man I really want this chopper!
I'm not sure I'm really liking the Puzzled" frame though and I want to know the difference between "Predator Style" and "modified 50" heads. Would be nice to know! Modified 50 sounds a bit "hacked" up so I'm going to assume the "predator style" is better....
