When I opened the box, I was impressed. The model includes a nice feeling full sized radio, spare blades and tools. The battery charger has indicator light to tell you the status of your charge. The Heli has a full metal head and nicely painted fiberglass canopy.
Flying:
The model has a nice stable hover. If you dwell to long on the ground, the Heli will skid sideways. Forward flight is fast. This Heli moves faster than my 450 sized machine.
Durability:
This is one rugged little machine. After several crashes, I only scratched the paint on the Main Blades.
Problems:
The tail rotor gets slower and slower as you fly. You have to keep adding more and more trim. When you run out of trim, you have to hold the tail in position with the stick.
The friction grip on the tail rotor needs to be checked before each flight. The shaft comes loose and the gears disengage. To fix it, you just have to push it back together.
Conclusion:
This would be a great little Heli if the tail rotor problem was corrected. This is the first Heli that I can relax when I fly. If I crash, I just stand it up and increase the throttle.
• Tough little Heli • Nice Price • Small size
• Poor tail control. • Battery to large for compartment • Moves Way to Fast for it's size.
Purchased from Tower Hobbies. Flew 10 time a week for 5 weeks, then the Heli would not hold a charge. Sent to Hobby Services, they replaced the unit with a new one. I few the new one for 3 weeks and the same thing happened. I would not waste my money on a Heli that apparently has a life span of 30 flights based on the two I have flown!!!
I now own a static Heli to look at. By the time I had the second problem, the warranty (3 months) was up!
• Looks great!!
• Lasts only 30 flights based on my experiences!!
